Blake Mccoy

Blake McCoy is a dynamic and engaging broadcast journalist who has a deep understanding of the country. As a network news correspondent, he has covered stories of triumph and tragedy, as well as the struggles and triumphs of individuals. As a local anchor, Blake McCoy has been able to connect with audiences by delivering top-rated local news programs with the necessary care and authenticity.

During NBC’s coverage of the San Bernardino attack in 2015, Blake McCoy was nominated for an Emmy. He reported from the scenes of other mass shootings, such as those at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando and the Las Vegas Nightclub. He also covered the presidential campaign trail in 2016 and returned to work on the Nightly News on June 16, 2018. During his time in London, Blake McCoy was able to experience some of the most extreme weather in the country, including tornadoes and wildfires.

Two years ago, Blake McCoy was able to launch his own show at Washington DC’s local television station, WTG. He was able to create a 4pm hour that featured live interviews, breaking news, and pop culture. The show, which debuted in 2019, became the top-rated new program in the country. It was able to compete against programs such as Judge Judy and Dr. Phil.

During the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, Blake McCoy was able to lead the station’s coverage. He was able to keep up with the news and provide a steady stream of information during the unpredictable early mornings. In September 2020, he was promoted to the role of evening and late news anchor.
